Fire at mobile home court near Greenville is under investigation, captain says

UPDATE @ 10:05 p.m.: The fire that heavily damaged the house trailer at the Sherwood Forest Mobile Home Court is under investigation, said Capt. Jerry Holsapple, New Madison Volunteer Fire Department. 

There were no reported injuries, he said. 

Crews arrived at 43 Nottingham Way, south of Greenville, to find heavy flames in the back of the trailer. We're hearing two adults and three children have been displaced. Holsapple said he had heard the same count. The Red Cross was called to assist the family.

The captain said he could not estimate the dollar loss on the trailer or its contents.

In another development, Darke County sheriff's deputies arrested two people sought on warrants. Deputies said they recognized the individuals, who were in the crowd gathered for the fire. 

There was no immediate word about the details of the warrants.

UPDATE @ 9:10 p.m.: No one was home when fire heavily damaged a house in the Sherwood Forest Mobile Home Court, south of Greenville, a Darke County sheriff’s deputy said.

The flames destroyed the back end of the house trailer at 43 Nottingham Way.


Crews are on the scene of a house trailer fire in the 40 block of Nottingham Way, southeast of Greenville. 

The incident was dispatched about 8:10 p.m. on a report that the trailer fire was fully involved.
