Dave Chappelle meets Eleven from ‘Stranger Things’


If you were wondering, Netflix is the thing that brings Dave Chappelle and “Stranger Things” together. 

The streaming service used a clip from “Stranger Things” to announce the New Year’s Eve release of Chappelle’s latest special, “Equanimity.”

The special follows the March 21 release of “The Age of Spin: Dave Chappelle Live at the Hollywood Palladium”and “Deep in the Heart of Texas: Dave Chappelle Live at Austin City Limits.”

The promo features Chappelle, a Yellow Springs-area resident, meeting Eleven, played by Millie Bobby Brown. 

They were the first comedy specials in a decade for the actor and comedian, who was best known for his 2003 Comedy Central sketch comedy show “The Chappelle Show.”

Netflix first announced the series of three specials in November 2016.  

“Spin” magazine and several other news organizations said Chappelle recieved a $60 million deal.
