Dayton Bomb Squad run to bike path under I-75 in Dayton is a false call


UPDATE @ 8:20 p.m.: The Dayton Bomb Squad run has been canceled because the item turned out to be an empty box, according to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch.

INITIAL REPORT

The Dayton Bomb Squad has been dispatched to check a suspicious package found on the bike path under I-75 downtown, on the west side of the Great Miami River. 

The squad was dispatched about 6:45 p.m. 

We will update this report as information becomes available.
