Dayton Metro Library receives grant for new flags

The Dayton Metro Library has received a grant for new American flags and flagpoles, according to a release.

The donation was given by the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).

“These flags will stand in each of our Branch Library community rooms as a statement of American heritage and history,” said Tim Kambitsch, executive director of the library.

DAR grants are awarded to support projects in local communities.

“With this particular grant, our hope is that those coming into the library will reflect on what the flag represents with a sense of pride and patriotism,’ said Judy Hoover, Brookville resident and DAR Chapter Regent.
