Police seek armed robber in Dollar General case

UPDATE @ 8:57 p.m.:

Police are investigating whether an armed robber who robbed the Dollar General on North Gettysburg Avenue Saturday night is the same person responsible for other similar robberies earlier this month at Dayton businesses, according to police.

A man with long dreadlocks, a red and blue hat, black jacket and black gloves robbed the store at 2228 N. Gettysburg Ave. around 6:30 p.m.

Officers said the man fled the store with cash and a K-9 was unable to locate him.

INITIAL REPORT:

The Dollar General location on North Gettysburg Avenue in Dayton was reportedly robbed Saturday evening.

Police responded to the store, 2228 N. Gettysburg Ave., shortly after 6:30 p.m. on a report that a man robbed the business.
