OH-292 reopens after semitrailer entrapment crash in Logan County

UPDATE @ 1: 20 a.m: State Route 292, north of West Mansfield has reopened following a crash involving a semi-trailer Monday night.

There were no injuries to the driver, who was trapped as a result of the crash that occurred around 9:45 p.m.

The driver will be cited, according to the Ohio Highway State Patrol, Springfield Post.

INITIAL REPORT

Deputies and a medic unit are on the scene of a semitrailer crash that left the driver trapped and forced the shutdown of state Route 292 north of West Mansfield in Logan County.

The driver's condition is not known.

The accident was dispatched about 9:45 p.m. as a motor vehicle crash at state Route 292 and County Road 50, north and east of Bellefontaine.

The semi is in a field, on its side and diesel fuel is leaking, we're hearing. A hazardous materials unit has been requested.

State Route 292 will be closed until further notice, according to Logan County Sheriff's Dispatch.
