The economic impacts of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma are expected to continue hit home.
The average price of gasoline jumped in the past two weeks after Harvey prompted the closure of refineries.
Oil industry analyst Trilby Lundberg said Sunday that it was the biggest price hike recorded by the Lundberg Survey since 2011. Gas distribution will likely continue to be impacted due to Hurricane Irma’s pathway of destruction through Florida.
Orange juice, grapefruit and cotton prices could also jump.
AccuWeather predicts up to 25 percent of Florida’s orange crop may have been destroyed by the Hurricane Irma.
