Enrollment open for Clark State classes at new Xenia campus

Clark State Community College is now offering classes at its new location in the REACH Center in Xenia.

Clark State announced today enrollment is now open for classes that will begin Jan. 14, at 336 S. Progress Drive.

Clark State also has a Beavercreek campus and the new Xenia location will give residents in the eastern part of Greene County easier access to the college’s offerings, according to Theresa Felder, Clark State senior vice president of student success.

“Clark State will focus on health careers at the Xenia campus and will offer general transfer degrees: an associate of arts and an associate of science,” Felder said. “College Credit Plus courses will also be available for high school students.”

In addition to degree and certificate programs, Clark State will offer workforce training, seminars and workshops at the new location, according to the release.

The college has classrooms, laboratory and office space in nearly 5,000 square feet at the new REACH Center, which is the new location for the Xenia YMCA and the Xenia Adult Recreation and Services Center. Clark State expects to be able to serve up to 400 students at the new location, according to the release.

Central State University also is expected to offer coursework at the REACH Center, and Kettering Health Network, which owns the property where the center sits, has plans to build a separate facility there.

Clark State enrollment is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday.
