Seven companies have been awarded $675,000 in EDIP grants since the program’s inception in 2016, according to a news release.

In March, defense technology firm Resonant Sciences was awarded $100,000 to assist in buying equipment that would lead to more specialized contracts for the company.

Companies are awarded grants based on projects that lead to job creation, additional payroll, fixed-asset investment and alignment with the county’s strategic goals and return on investment.
