Heavy rain leaves high water on streets, at some businesses in and near Xenia


Heavy rain that moved through the Dayton region on Friday night caused instances of high water on some streets and parking lots of business in the Xenia area of Greene County.

Water was at least ankle deep in the parking lot at Rural King, just west of Xenia. An employee told WHIO-TV’s James Buechele a vehicle had to be moved because of the water.

According to the National Weather Service chat room, the Greene County 911 call center just before 10 p.m. did field reports of “some high water on a few streets.”
