Alberto to bring showers, storms to region

It will be warm and muggy overnight with some increase in clouds, Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell said. Temperatures will drop to around 70 degrees by daybreak.

TUESDAY: A mild, but dry morning. Clouds increase through the afternoon with highs in the upper 80s. A very muggy day with heat index values reaching the low to mid-90s again. A few showers are possible at night.

Wednesday: Scattered showers and storms for the day. Remnant of Alberto that move nearby will bring gusty winds and heavy rain at times. A mostly cloudy day with cooler temperatures in the lower 80s.

Thursday: Muggy and mild still with mostly cloudy skies. They'll be some passing showers and storms during the day with highs in the middle 80s.
