1 hurt in Trotwood crash that leaves car on its top after hitting power pole, gas line

UPDATE @2:51 a.m. (May 20)

Guenther Road has reopened following a rollover crash that closed a portion of the road Friday night. 

Dispatchers said no major issues with either electric or gas service resulted from the crash. 

No outages in Montgomery County are being reported by DP&L at this time.

UPDATE @ 10:12 p.m.A male driver has been taken to a hospital, suffering non-life threatening injuries, in the Trotwood crash on Guenther Road. 

Guenther Road is being closed to traffic because of the vehicle accident that has damaged a power pole and a gas line. 

A DP&L crew is on scene, evaluating the damage to a power pole. The utility's online service map is showing as many as five outages in Montgomery County. 

We're hearing also that fire crews have cut off gas service in the area, in advance of the Vectren crew's arrival.


Fire crews and police are on the scene of a vehicle accident in the 1900 block of Guenther Road, in Trotwood, that has left the vehicle on its top. 

There also is damage to at least one power pole and a gas line has been sheared, we're hearing. 

Dayton Power & Light and Vectren crews have been called to deal with that damage. 

The accident was dispatched about 9:20 p.m. as an injury crash. We're hearing there is one victim.
