Medical helicopter requested after crash involving motorcycle in Springfield


A medical helicopter has been requested to transport a motorcyclist who was injured in a crash on Sherman Avenue in Springfield Friday morning. 

Police and fire crews were dispatched to Sherman Avenue, west of Lagonda Avenue around 8:45 a.m. after the crash was reported. 

The CareFlight medical helicopter was requested to meet medics at Springfield Regional Medical Center before transporting the motorcyclist to Miami Valley Hospital. 

The condition of the operator wasn’t immediately available.
