3 injured after Dayton crash on Germantown Street


UPDATE @ 3:05 p.m.:

Three people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash on Germantown Street in Dayton Friday afternoon.

Police and fire crews responded to the intersection of Germantown Street and Randolph Street around 12:10 p.m. after a crash with entrapment was reported.

An initial investigation found a green Chevy was traveling on Germantown Street and crashed into a silver Buick, traveling on Randolph, according to a Dayton police spokeswoman. 

The crash sent the silver vehicle in reverse and came to a rest in a yard after knocking down a crosswalk sign. 

Two people inside the silver Buick were trapped inside the car after the crash. They were freed from the wreckage and transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

One person in the green Chevy was also transported to a hospital with injuries also described as non-life threatening. 

Potential factors in the crash were not released and are still under investigation. 

FIRST REPORT

Multiple injuries have been reported after a crash on Germantown Street in Dayton Friday afternoon. 

Several police and fire crews were dispatched to the intersection of Germantown and Randolph streets around 12:10 p.m. on reports of a crash. 

Initial reports indicate up to two people are trapped in one vehicle and up to four people suffered injuries in the crash.
