Butler County deputy’s cruiser struck in hit-skip in Franklin

The Butler County Sheriff’s office continue to search for the blue Ford Crown Victoria that struck a deputy’s cruiser just before 1 a.m. Tuesday, and the driver fled the scene, according to a press release.

Officials are looking for a light a blue Ford Crown Victoria after it struck a Butler County deputy’s cruiser in a hit-skip crash early Tuesday morning in Franklin.

The incident occurred just after 1 a.m. near the Speedway gas station in Franklin, located at 200 S. Main St., per initial reports.

Franklin officials say the vehicle, which reportedly has heavy front-end damage, was last seen northbound from the gas station on Main Street.

The deputy was not injured as a result of the crash. No word on the extent of the damage to the cruiser.

Authorities from various counties, ranging from Warren to Montgomery counties, were informed about the incident.
