Ohio No. 1 in U.S. for Mega Millions jackpot-winning trusts

Ohio is the leader among states for Mega Millions jackpot winning tickets claimed by a trust, corporation or registered group.

The Buckeye State added to its lead last week when the ABC XYZ Trust came forward to claim the $142 million winning ticket sold May 4 at Fat Daddy’s Road Dog in Moraine.

Since Mega Millions started in 2002, 12 winning tickets were claimed by registered groups either living in – or buying the lucky ticket in – Ohio, according to the list of winners on the lottery organization’s website.
