Piqua man indicted on multiple rape charges

A Piqua man pleaded not guilty Tuesday to two felony indictments for rape.

Justin Griffin, 28, was indicted by a Miami County grand jury for the alleged sexual conduct in January and February in Piqua with an adult who was physically or mentally impaired.

Cases still open for 4 women missing from Middletown

Griffin pleaded not guilty in Miami County Common Pleas Court, where a pretrial hearing was scheduled for July 23. Assistant Prosecutor Janna Parker opposed his release on a recognizance bond, citing the nature of the offenses alleged.

Bail was set at $15,000 cash or surety by Judge Christopher Gee.
