Possible contamination prompts recall of pork sausage products made in Sandusky

Jungle Jim's East Gate in Cincinnati and Jungle Jim's in Fairfield (Butler/Hamilton counties) sell the sausage products under the Daisyfield Pork brand sold and distributed to grocery stores throughout Ohio and the eastern United States.

The raw ground pork bulk and link sausage items were produced from Jan. 1 through 4, 2019.

The products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 818” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail locations in Kentucky, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

The firm discovered the problem and notified FSIS on Monday.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions because of the consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.

FSIS is concerned that some product may be in retailers and consumers’ refrigerators or freezers.

Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
