Rollover crash in Fairborn takes out light pole; OVI charge possible, police say

UPDATE @ 8:20 p.m.: No one was injured in the rollover crash of an SUV on Central Avenue, but Fairborn police tell us the driver is being investigated for a possible OVI charge.

The avenue is expected to reopen to traffic within the half hour.

INITIAL REPORT

Central Avenue in Fairborn remains closed at 8 p.m. after a rollover vehicle accident took down a light pole.

The accident was reported about 6:45 p.m. and at least one person is believed to have been taken to a hospital, a police dispatcher said.

A Dayton Power & Light crew is on scene, removing the pole and disconnecting the wires.

The street remains closed in both directions until further notice.
