UPDATE @ 10:58 p.m.: The driver of the semitrailer that ended up on its side on state Route 72 North, near Cedarville, lost control of the big rig when he bent over to pick up a piece of paper off the floorboard, said Sgt. Richard Milstead, Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The semi, its trailer full of cardboard, went off the right side of the road headed north and struck a tree, the sergeant said.
The driver was cited for failure to maintain reasonable control. He wasn’t injured, Milstead said, but was taken to a hospital for drug testing required by his employer.
