Man arrested following Dayton stabbing no longer faces charges

UPDATE @ 12:35 a.m. (Feb. 2):

A man arrested in December following a stabbing in Dayton is no longer facing any charges.

A Montgomery County grand jury on Friday declined to indict Tyrone L. Martin, so the case against him is dismissed.

The 34-year-old was arrested Dec. 18, 2018, after it was reported a man suffered a stab wound to the leg on Trieschman Avenue.

UPDATE @ 9:15 a.m. (Dec. 18): A man is in custody following a stabbing on Trieschman Avenue early Tuesday morning.
Tyrone L. Martin, 34, was arrested on suspicion of felonious assault, according to a Dayton police report.

He has not been formally charged.

UPDATE @ 3:40 a.m: A person was transported to Miami Valley Hospital with injuries resulting from a stabbing that occurred on Trieschman Avenue early Tuesday, officials say.

Crews responded to the incident which reportedly occurred in the 1300 block just after 1 a.m.

In a 911 call obtained by this news organization, the caller told dispatchers the male victim was stabbed in the leg.

“He’s stabbed in his lower leg”, the caller said. “He’s bleeding, just hurry up.”

The victim’s name or condition were not immediately available.
