Other amenities include a Community and Wellness Center opening this year, fishing pond, swimming pool, communal courtyard and walking trails.
Leslie Ratliff, owner of Pendragon Development and Pendragon Homes, the builder at Aberlin Springs, said the project involves building residential communities around working farms.
“People are realizing that eating fresh and organically grown food will have a profound effect on your health and well-being,” Ratliff said. “We studied the trend, visited other agricultural communities and tested the concept on the local market prior to launching the project.”

Maureen McDermott, developer the NorthPointe Group, which is handling the project, said the development is at 34700 Snook Road, Morrow, in Union Township and just outside of Lebanon.
“The homes start in the mid $300s for our Cottage product and go to over $1 million on the Estate lots. There are currently 12 houses under construction in Phase One and two that are completed and ready for closing. All are available to tour on Tuesday,” McDermott said. “In addition, we are showing the farm activity and our onsite farm market.”
McDermott said the community uses geothermal heating and cooling and has a private septic system that keeps the water on the land.
State Sen. Steve Wilson, R-Maineville, is bringing a proclamation to the grand opening regarding Aberlin Springs being the first agri-community in the state of Ohio.
