Xenia schools employee resigns amid sex assault investigation

A Xenia High School employee has resigned after she was put on indefinite paid administrative leave last month amid a police investigation into sex assault allegations involving a student.

Amy Dixon, former attendance secretary at the high school, resigned from her position on Sept. 25, according to district spokeswoman Wendy Planicka.

Her resignation came 11 days after she was put on indefinite paid administrative leave “pending the outcome of an investigation,” according to school records.

The same day Dixon was put on leave, Xenia police launched an investigation into a sexual assault complaint involving a 17-year-old Xenia student.

Dixon, 31, has not been named as a suspect by police, and she has not been charged with any crime.

Police have met with the Greene County Prosecutor’s Office and continue to investigate the sex assault allegation, according to Xenia police Capt. Alonzo Wilson.
