His wish is the 1,700th granted by the Dayton foundation since its founding in 1983.

The Dayton Chapter of A Special Wish Foundation is the only wish-granting organization in the Dayton region with the mission to grant the special wish of a child or adolescent, birth through age 20, who has been diagnosed with a life-threatening disorder in Montgomery, Miami, Darke, Greene, Mercer and Shelby counties.

“Having the community rally around a sick child and their family is so important in the healing process. Panera Bread’s support shows they are more than an amazing restaurant, but an important part of the heart of our neighborhoods. We are thrilled to celebrate our 1,700th wish with Panera,” said David Seyer, executive director of the Dayton foundation.
