Burchett has been a resident of Moraine for 30 years, according to city records. He has served the city’s board of zoning appeals, as well as service on the records, charter review and planning commissions, according to his application.
Bob Allen, Rocky Bangert and Basil Tom Hicks also applied for the position.

Council has 30 days from the time of the vacancy to fill the seat, according to the city’s charter, and Moraine is required to hold a special election in November to fill McGuire’s unexpired term, which was on the ballot in 2017.
