The jogger pepper-sprayed a dog when it attacked her at 10:25 a.m. in Anthony Chabot Regional Park, East Bay Regional Park District police said.

The jogger later came across the dog's owner, who accosted her. The owner, a woman, tackled and punched the jogger multiple times before fleeing, the East Bay Regional Park District Police Department said.

"As the victim attempted to push her assailant off of her, she was bitten on her forearm by the female, causing significant wounds," police said.

Police are searching for the dog’s owner on aggravated assault charges. She is believed to be white or Asian and between 18 and 25 years old. She was last seen with two dogs, a Rottweiler mix and a medium-sized, tan-colored dog.
