Davis was treated for the dog bites at Atrium Medical Center, then transported to the City Jail.

The incident began around 3 a.m. on Wednesday when officers noticed a car driven by Davis didn’t use its turn signal while turning onto 15th Avenue from Minnesota Street.
Police said Davis was “sweating profusely” in the 40-degree weather, avoided eye contact and was very abrasive, the report said.
K-9 officer Chase sniffed the vehicle and officers noticed “a change in behavior” in the dog, who gave an alert on the driver’s door.
That’s when Davis began walking toward his vehicle.
Davis was pushed toward the police cruiser and away from his car because officers had not secured the vehicle and didn’t know if there were any drugs or weapons inside, they wrote in the report.
As an officer walked Davis toward the cruiser, Davis planted his foot and refused to step further, the report said. Davis was taken to the ground and his hands were placed behind his back. Chase was released to assist the officers in “securing” Davis in handcuffs.
Davis will have his pre-trial hearing on March 3 in Middletown Municipal Court.
