Congressional candidates Turner, Gasper, Harlow to discuss issues on WHIO-TV today

A special edition of WHIO Reports featuring the three candidates in Ohio’s 10th Congressional District will air this afternoon.

The candidates in the district including all of Montgomery and Greene and a portion of Fayette counties are incumbent Republican Rep. Mike Turner, Democrat Theresa Gasper and Libertarian David Harlow.

News Center 7’s Jim Otte is moderator of the one-hour edition airing todayat 12:30 p.m. on WHIO-TV Channel 7.

AM 1290 and News 95.7 WHIO radio will also broadcast the forum at 10 a.m. Sunday. The forum will be available on whio.com and on WHIO-TV’s streaming app.

The full discussion will be available online after it airs on TV.

Topics of discussion include jobs, the economy, health care and other issues facing the district.

“Who represents this community in the U.S. Congress has impact on all of us, and the citizens of this community deserve to hear each candidate’s view on the issues, in their own words,” Golden said. “It’s the only opportunity I’m aware of that brings all three candidates together.”

The 10th District special will also air on AM1290 and News 95.7 WHIO Sunday morning at 8.

The regular broadcast of WHIO Reports will air 11:30 a.m. Sunday featuring gubernatorial candidates Republican Mike DeWine and Democrat Richard Cordray. An episode with Green candidate Constance Gadell Newton and Libertarian Travis Irvine will air Nov. 4.
