Body found in Lancaster during drone flyover

A drone flyover led to the discovery of a body Thursday in a soybean field in the area where a woman has been missing.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office was flying the drone performing 3D mapping of the area around the field before a planned search for the missing woman. However, Lancaster police did not confirm whether the body found was that of 66-year-old Theresa Marie Shook, who was last seen Sept. 2, the Lancaster Eagle Gazette reported.

Shook was last seen on video around 10 p.m. Sept. 2 leaving her apartment in the 100 block of Graceland Drive.

The body was found about 15 feet off Graceland Drive in a soybean field, the Lancaster Eagle Gazette reported.

Police were expected to release further information Friday.
