3013 Linden Ave., Dayton

Mehaffie’s has a variety of pies available every day including fresh Dutch apple and pecan, said owner Greg Hay. He sees a spike on Pi Day holidays.

The Original Rib House

This place is famous for its sour cream apple pie made by Fran Lawson, mother to the owner. Her recipes are secret, but Lawson reveals she makes her own pie crust and peels all the apples.

Chappys Tap Room

2733 W. Alex Bell Road, Moraine

Chappy’s makes its peanut butter pie fresh daily. It’s made with chocolate, cream cheese, whipped cream, peanut butter and a graham cracker crust. “It’s rich but airy,” we were told.

The Oakwood and Washington Square locations sell pie slices, including cream and berry varieties.

Pearson serves up to 29 different pie varieties -- everything from fruit pies like cherry, peanut butter pie, butterscotch pie and cream pies. They’ve served over 550,000 slices of pie since opening more than 30 years ago, said owner Bob Bianco.

Bob Evans

Several locations in Dayton area

Locations offer double crust apple pie, pecan, pumpkin, French silk and coconut cream.

Ghostlight Coffee

1201 Wayne Ave., Dayton

Ghostlight may have some of the best coffee in Dayton, but did you know they also bake a mean pie? For Pi Day, their special offerings are Bourbon Peach Pecan hand pies and S’mores pies. Yum. (Note: Ghostlight’s baked offerings rotate based on seasons and demand -- in other words, they don’t have pies ALL the time. Keep up with their Facebook page for the latest.)
