Why Mamma DiSalvo’s is not open for lunch this week

This family-run business is preparing the next generation.

But there will be a small price.

Mamma DiSalvo's in Kettering posted to Facebook this week that the authentic Italian restaurant will not be open for lunch today or Friday (it also closed yesterday). While this might put a kink in any Mamma DiSalvo's lunch plans you may have today or tomorrow, we have no qualms with the temporary closings.

Chef Roberto is taking his son, Vincenzo, back to Italy, where the DiSalvo family recipes all began for culinary classes. This could only mean more “magnifico” chefs to come from the family that brings the Dayton-area some of the most mouthwatering cuisine.

The restaurant is still open during regular dinner hours after 4 p.m. and will return to normal lunch hours next week.
