"We're really excited about the addition of Dwayne Cohill to the Dayton basketball family," Dayton coach Anthony Grant said in a press release. "Having a chance to get to know Dwayne and his family, I think foremost he's a great young man from a great family who will fit really well into our campus community."

Cohill will be the first Flyer from Holy Name since 5-foot-2 guard Mario Termini in 1947-48. Termini, the second-shortest player in UD history behind 5-0 Keith Braswell, went on to become head coach at Holy Name.

Cohill, a 6-foot-3 guard , verbally committed to Dayton on Sept. 11. He ranks 93rd in the class of 2018, according to Rivals.com. He’s a consensus four-star recruit. He was Dayton’s top priority in recruiting throughout the summer.

"I think he's a great 'get' for us as basketball player,” Grant said. "He brings the skill set that gives him the ability to be able to play multiple positions. He's effective with the ball in his hands and off the ball. I think he's a guy whose whole career has been all about team -- all about winning. He's a culture guy in terms of what he represents. We think we're getting a great addition — a great young man and a great family so we're really excited to have him become a Flyer."
