Anthony Grant adds UD graduate to coaching staff

Andy Farrell will be third Farrell brother to coach at UD

Farrell is graduate of Carroll High School and the University of Dayton.

Andy Farrell will join Anthony Grant’s staff with the Dayton Flyers, Farrell announced Wednesday on Twitter. His job title is director of scouting and program development.

Farrell is a Dayton native and 2007 University of Dayton graduate. He has spent the last three seasons as an assistant coach at Southwest Mississippi Community College in Summit, Miss.

Farrell has also coached at Virginia Commonwealth, Clemson and Longwood University. He’ll be the third Farrell brother to coach at UD, though he was involved with the program as a student manager during his time as an undergraduate.

Twin brother Eric, also a 2007 UD graduate, was on Archie Miller’s staff as assistant director of basketball operations. Their brother Matt Farrell, who’s now involved with the Big Hoopla and First Four, was the director of basketball operations at UD from 2006-11. All three brothers are graduates of Carroll High School.
