Bonsu graduated from UD in May with the four other Dayton seniors. He spent three seasons with the team. He never scored a point and appeared in only two games as a senior, but he became a popular player in part because of his celebrations on the bench.

Last season, days before Senior Night, Bonsu said of his career plans:  “Hopefully, I’ll be a (graduate assistant) next year. I want to coach.”

Bonsu, a graduate of Pickerington North High School, wrote two articles for The Players’ Tribune during his career, one about the death of teammate Steve McElvene and another about his unlikely path to college basketball.
