The University of Dayton suspended Miller for one semester in August following an incident in a Greene County jail and announced he would not get his scholarship back for the 2017-18 season if he returned to school. He pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct on Aug. 22 and avoided additional jail time.

Miller appeared in 53 games in two seasons for the Flyers, averaging 3.9 points and 1.9 rebounds. He was part of a recruiting class that included Ryan Mikesell, John Crosby and Xeyrius Williams.

Dayton coach Anthony Grant was asked in October if he knew whether Miller planned to return to UD in the second semester, he said, “We’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.” At that time, Grant said Miller was at home in Washington, D.C., in the fall, and they were talking periodically.
“It seems like he’s in a good place,” Grant said. “He’s got a lot going on in terms of keeping himself busy and active. So far everything is lining up where this could be a good outcome for him.”
Asked again about Miller in December, Grant declined to comment.
With this news, Dayton officially has another scholarship open for 2018. They filled one scholarship by signing Dwayne Cohill in November.
