Flyin’ Game 2: IMG Academy (Fla.) 83, Huntington Prep (W.Va.) 75

Jaden Springer hit all 12 free throws and scored a game-high 27 points in leading IMG Academy (Fla.) to an 83-75 defeat of Huntington Prep (W.Va.) in Game 2 of the 17th annual Premier Health Flyin’ to the Hoop at Fairmont’s Trent Arena on Friday night.

It was the second game of Friday’s opening doubleheader. Host Fairmont defeated Crestwood Prep (Ont.) 61-55 in the opener behind Ryan Hall’s 28 points.

It was IMG’s lone Flyin’ game. The Bradenton, Fla., power is scheduled to play Oak Hill Academy (Va.) in the HoopHall Classic at Springfield, Mass., on Sunday. The game will be nationally televised at 7:30 p.m. on ESPNU.

Jaemyn Brakefield and AJ Hoggard both scored 17 points for Huntington and Cincinnati Winton Woods transfer Greg Tribble added 16 points.

Huntington is scheduled to play Bella Vista Prep (Ariz.) in Flyin’ Game 7 at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
