Steven Faucheux has made his college decision.
The Lakota West senior defensive lineman announced Monday night he will be a Purdue Boilermaker next season.
Faucheux is a four-star prospect and the No. 9 player in Ohio according to 247Sports composite rankings.
He is the top-rated player in the Cox Media Group Ohio coverage area and the 12th to verbally commit so far.
BTW - for those who asked, it's pronounced "FO' shay" . . . cajun French. 🙂— Steven Faucheux 2019 (@s_faucheux) July 31, 2018
Springfield receiver Michael Brown-Stephens was the most recent before Faucheux, making the call for Minnesota over the weekend.
Lakota West’s Jeremiah Ross, a three-star defensive back, committed to Cincinnati earlier in the summer.
Ohio high school teams began preseason practice Monday.
The Boilermakers are set to sign an area player for the second year in a row after inking Mason offensive lineman Eric Miller in the class of 2018.
