GMC baseball: One Thunderhawk, three Comets garner top honors

Mason dominated the 2018 Greater Miami Conference prep baseball awards in recent voting.

Senior Will Pfennig is the Pitcher of the Year, junior outfielder J.P. Sponseller is Co-Athlete of the Year and Curt Bly is Coach of the Year for the Comets, who won the GMC with a 16-2 record and advanced to the Division I state tournament.

Sharing the Athlete of the Year award with Sponseller is Lakota East senior catcher Dan Sewak.
