Fans will electronically vote to decide which of the three will be a Patriots hall of famer. To be considered, a former Patriot must be four years removed from his NFL playing or coaching career. Only one of the three finalists will be enshrined.
The team’s website did not indicate when voting would end.
A second-round draft choice out of Purdue University, Light was an immediate hit and won three Super Bowls with the Patriots. He started all but two of 155 career games and was a three-time All-Pro.
He is the founder of The Light Foundation, a leadership program that targets at-risk youths from throughout the country on the 400-acre Chenoweth Trails ranch in Greenville.
