Ohio State may change start time of Saturday’s spring game

Game is scheduled at 1:45 p.m. for now

Ohio State may change the start of the spring game because of concerns about the weather forecast. It is scheduled to start at 1:45 p.m. Saturday at Ohio Stadium.

“Athletics Dept. officials are still monitoring the Saturday forecast,” Ohio State announced Thursday. “We want to host the (Ohio State) Spring Game for you — The Best Fans in the Land. We understand the importance of a timely decision. The status of the spring game will be announced Friday morning.”

The forecast on Saturday calls for a high of 69 degrees with a chance of rain throughout the day. Wisconsin, Michigan and Iowa State are among the programs that have cancelled spring games because of the forecast.

Ohio State already moved its men’s lacrosse game against Michigan to 7 p.m. Friday. It was scheduled to start at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ohio Stadium.
