Prep football: GMC Signing Day event scheduled for Wednesday afternoon

Beacon Orthopaedics is the host, and the public is invited.

Five Butler County coaches — Chad Murphy of Hamilton, Jason Krause of Fairfield, Rick Haynes of Lakota East, Don Simpson of Middletown and Larry Cox of Lakota West — will speak and introduce their committed players.

Among those players is West senior outside linebacker Xavier Peters, who recently committed to Florida State. He was previously committed to Kentucky.
