Reds add outfielder from Mets organization to 40-man roster

Jordan Patterson made big-league debut in 2016 with Rockies

The Mets claimed Patterson off waivers from the Rockies on Nov. 26. He was designated for assignment when the Rockies set their 40-man roster.

Patterson, 26, hit .271 with 26 home runs and 76 RBIs with Triple-A Albuquerque last season. It was the second straight year he spent the entire season in Triple-A. He hit .283 with 26 home and 92 RBIs in 2017.

Patterson made his only big-league appearance in 2016 with the Colorado Rockies, hitting .444 in 10 games (8-for-18). The Rockies drafted him in the fourth round in 2013 out of the University of South Alabama. He’s from Mobile, Ala.
