Reds update status of top prospect Nick Senzel

Cincinnati Reds president of baseball operations Dick Williams had a positive update on Nick Senzel on Wednesday.

Per MLB.com, the team’s top prospect is ready to resume baseball activity a little more than a week after going on the disabled list with symptoms of vertigo.

"There's been improvement, enough to go to Arizona and keep progressing," Reds president of baseball operations Dick Williams said. "He'll do a little more baseball activity -- ground balls, running and eventually get into some games.”

Senzel last played May 3, when he was removed from the game early.

The No. 2 overall pick in the 2016 draft is hitting .271 with three home runs and seven RBIs in 22 games for the Bats.

Williams said he will get back on the field in extended spring training in Arizona before going back to Louisville.
