HS Results 1/23: Hendricks, Bochenek help Fairmont defeat Alter

Kellan Bochenek and Jack Hendricks turned in 20 points apiece to lead the Fairmont boys basketball team in a 62-43 win versus Alter on Tuesday.

Fairmont pulled away in the second half, including a 19-11 run in the third quarter.

Connor Bazelak scored 14 points for Alter.

Boys Basketball

Sidney 68, Stebbins 60: Andre Gordon poured in 40 points, including 13 in the final quarter to help Sidney pull away for the victory. Jonathon Mpanzu scored 18 and Jamie Bullock 17 for Stebbins.

Butler 61, Xenia 58, OT: The win marked the eighth in a row for Butler, which improved to 14-1 and 8-1 in conference play.

Trotwood 84, Tippecanoe 68: Miles Belyeu totaled 24 points for Trotwood, which moved to 8-0 in conference play. Cade Gingerich had 20 for Tipp.

Miamisburg 75, Greenville 56: Jason Hubbard connected on five three-point shots on the way to 26 points and Duncan Hall added 17 to lead ‘Burg. Marcus Wood and Noah Walker had 18 apiece for Greenville.

Troy 61, West Carrollton 50: Zach Reichelderfer tallied 21 points for Troy. Jalen Sanders netted 21 for West Carrollton.

Springfield 65, Belmont 53: RaHeim Moss and Leonard Taylor led Springfield with 15 points apiece. Jadon Furlow had 13 for Belmont.

Lebanon 54, Little Miami 43: Harrison Hoofkin had 21 points with nine rebounds and six assists to lead Lebanon.

Northmont 55, Chaminade Julienne 48: Danny Lewis led Northmont with 17 points and Jamaal Linson added on 10. Milton Gage had 27 for CJ in a losing effort.

Mason 78, Hamilton 60: Noah Pedelty poured in 28 points for Mason. Jaylen Robinson had 20 and D’Marco Howard 16 for Hamilton.

Oak Hills 50, Middletown 44: Broderick McGhee and Jawunn Bailey scored 10 points apiece but Middletown couldn’t recover after a 15-2 Oak Hills run to open the game.

Sycamore 69, Fairfield 51: Tink English tallied 14 points and Devin Turner and Allen Caldwell added 11 apiece in a losing effort for Fairfield.

Colerain 62, Lakota West 51: Myles Greenwood led West with 12 points.

Princeton 47, Lakota East 45: Jarett Cox led East with 23 points, including six three-point shots.

St. Xavier 58, Beavercreek 48: Jon Alessandro scored 12 of his 20 points in the second half in a rally effort for ‘Creek.

Greenon 71, Northeastern 47: Cade Rice put up 16 points and Luke Downing and Logan Coppock tacked on 15 apiece for Greenon.

Carroll 65, Tecumseh 39: Eli Ramsey and Matt Cogan chipped in 21 points apiece for Carroll. Clay Mastin and Devin Alltop each had 10 for Tecumseh.

Badin 67, Talawanda 50: Sam Mathews paced Badin with 20 points, including six three-pointers. Zach Switzer added 12 off the bench for Badin. Evan James had 17 for Talawanda.

Winton Woods 71, Edgewood 46: Jake Paulsen and Garrett Gabbard totaled 10 points apiece for Edgewood.

Northridge 68, Waynesville 61: Twon Hines turned in 24 points, TaVaughn Johnson added 15 and Charles Drewery 14 for Northridge. Ryan Papaneck led Waynesville with 16.

Valley View 44, Monroe 43: Clayton Erbaugh recorded 24 points to help Valley View hold off a Monroe rally. Sam Jeffers led Monroe with 17.

Oakwood 58, Eaton 43: Alex Neff tallied 16 points for Oakwood. Grant Sullender led Eaton with 22.

Dunbar 72, Stivers 52: Dunbar picked up a seventh straight victory to improve to 5-1 in City League play.

Covington 50, Miami East 42: Braden Miller scored 15 points to help Covington pull off the upset. Will Hudson had 11 for East.

Bethel 66, National Trail 49: Ryan Rose recorded 23 points and Kendall James 19 for Bethel. Zach Woodall and Dalton Mason each had 12 for Trail.

Mississinawa Valley 52, Bradford 42: Ethan Bowman totaled 19 points and Matt Slob 10 for MV.

Greeneview 75, Mechanicsburg 49: Mason Schneider put in 24 points and NIck Clevenger 22 to carry Greeneview.

Minster 63, Botkins 39: Isaac Schmiesing and Jarod Schulze each had 14 points for Minster. Schulze and Cody Frericks also recorded 10 rebounds.

Girls Basketball

Preble Shawnee 64, National Trail 35: Makena Laird and Savanna Abner each had 11 points in a losing effort for Trail.

Bethel 62, Northeastern 61: Mckena Gray and Klaudia Lowery had 17 apiece for Bethel to help offset a 42-point performance from Northeastern’s Hayley Suchland.

Newton 59, Northwestern 28: Tatum McBride poured in 31 points for Newton.

Tri-County North 55, Mississinawa Valley 18: Aubrey Stupp scored 19 points to lead TCN.

Coldwater 47, Spencerville 45: Lauren Gilliland netted 14 points with 10 rebounds to pace Coldwater.

Boys Bowling

Carroll 2487, Fenwick 2484: Jacob Schoening bowled games of 258 and 259 for a 517 series for Carroll. Sean McCarthy led Fenwick with a 458 series.

Ben Logan 2338, Indian Lake 2044: Tyler Nicholas rolled a 407 series and Austin Billingsley added a 404 for Ben Logan.

Girls Bowling

Ben Logan 2089, Indian Lake 1606: Makayla Cayot recorded a 330 series to lead Ben Logan.
