HS Roundup 9/24: Brown breaks 24-year-old record in Milton-Union win

Olivia Brown broke the school record for career digs during Milton-Union’s 3-0 win over Ansonia in girls volleyball on Monday.

The record Brown passed, set by Jessica Herkins Brumbaugh, had stood since 1994.

Milton-Union improved to 12-4 overall with the victory.

Boys Soccer

Bellefontaine 7, Graham 1: Daunte George poured in three goals and Dominik Patton, Derek Robb, Drew Wrocklage and Jacob Shell added a goal apiece to pace Bellefontaine.

New Knoxville 3, Allen East 2: Joseph Baende, Patrick Covert and Zach Davis each had a goal to lead New Knoxville.

Northwestern 2, Jonathan Alder 1: Alex Bainbridge and Dalton McGill each had a goal and Jeremy Howard tacked on an assist for Northwestern.

Ottoville 2, Temple Christian 1: Jacob Holloway struck the first score of the night but Temple Christian fell victim to an Ottoville rally.

Girls Soccer

Tecumseh 2, Xenia 0: Katlin Sanning and Taylor Sisco dropped in a goal apiece and Carrie Adams had an assist to pace Tecumseh.

Girls Volleyball

Cin. Christian 3, St. Bernard 2: Elizabeth Bowling had 21 assists, Caila Nagel added 12 digs and Emily Hesselgesser 17 kills as CC took the final set 15-8 to win the match.

Eaton 3, Fairmont 1: Annika Gels tallied 16 digs, Shaylen Perry had 15 kills and Maley Tinstman 26 assists as Eaton recovered after dropping the first set.

Minster 3, Mississinawa Valley 1: Ava Sharp put up 15 digs and Danielle Barhorst and Brynn Oldiges tacked on nine kills apiece for Minster.

Tippecanoe 3, Beavercreek 2: Brooke Aselage recorded 22 kills with 20 digs, Rachel Wildermuth tacked on six blocks with 12 kills and Abby Hughes added 28 digs to help Tipp win in rally fashion.
