HS Roundup 4/20: Centerville beats Northmont in Reds Showcase

Centerville edged Northmont 4-3 in ten innings in a Reds Showcase baseball game at Wright State on Friday.

Riley Poulton hit a triple then scored on an error for the winning run. Thomas Jenkins added two RBI for Centerville and was named the player of the game.

Baseball

Springboro 13, Fairmont 5: Spencer Virtue had two hits and three RBI out of the leadoff spot and Jake D’Amico added two RBI for Springboro. Tyler Shaneyfelt had a pair of hits for Fairmont.

Fenwick 8, Alter 3: Adam Brian drove in three runs, Thomas Vogelsang had two hits with two RBI and Cross Youtsler picked up the win for Fenwick.

Monroe 15, Lebanon 6: Alex Page recorded four hits with four RBI, Hunter Collins and Zach Gomia each scored four times and Evan Lane ran his record to 3-0 with the win for Monroe.

Tecumseh 13, Indian Lake 3: Blais Hale, Brandon Henn and Hunter Minton each had doubles, with Minton plating a pair of runs to lead Tecumseh. Will Sowder struck out seven in a complete game to earn the victory.

Ben Logan 3, Urbana 0: Cole Waugh pitched a complete game shutout with nine strikeouts and Garrett Dixon had a sacrifice fly RBI for Ben Logan.

Ross 4, Little Miami 1: Montana Allgaier threw a complete game to move to 4-0, Logan Fuller and Andrew Beebe each had a pair of hits and Trevor House doubled to pace Ross.

Tri-Village 13, Twin Valley South 1: Derek Eyer blasted a grand slam, Jared Buckley went 3-for-4 with four RBI and four stolen bases and Christian Ricker earned the win on the mound for Tri-Village.

West Liberty-Salem 12, Troy Christian 3: Ethan Larson struck out six on the way to earning his first varsity victory. Jacob Vanhorn doubled in a pair of runs and Thomas Allen had a home run and a double.

Northeastern 10, Greenon 2: Gavin Yearout and Dylan Hand each had two hits, with Hand driving in a pair of runs to pace Northeastern.

Fairbanks 7, Greeneview 3: Ian Tamplin and Jon Brakeall each had a pair of hits for Greeneview in the loss.

Versailles 6, Anna 4: Keaton McEldowney and Kyle Pothast each tallied two hits and two RBI to lead Versailles. Aidan Endsley notched a double for Anna.

New Bremen 24, Riverside 1: Ryan Bertke and Patrick Wells plated five runs apiece, with Bertke hitting a triple and Wells a double.

Softball

Springboro 6, Fairmont 5: Springboro rallied with two runs in each of the final two innings to pull off the win. Tyanna Seibert led the way with three RBI and Sarah Metcalfe had two hits and two RBI. Keira Teserovitch and Katie Thompson each tallied two hits and two RBI for Fairmont.

Lakota East 6, Fairfield 4: Sydney Larson threw a complete game and Regan Butikofer tallied three hits and three RBI to lead Lakota East in a ten inning win. Taylor Delk drove in a pair of runs for Fairfield.

Badin 3, McNicholas 2: Nicole Rawlings struck out 14, Sydney Rawlings drove in a pair of runs and Gracie McHugh tallied two hits to lead Badin in a close victory.

Tecumseh 5, Indian Lake 0: Abby O’Bryant and Logan Markstrom tallied three hits apiece and Ashley Fite plated two runs to lead Tecumseh.

Edgewood 12, Talawanda 5: Sam Davis recorded four hits, Madison Asher added three and Davis also picked up the win on the mound for Edgewood.

West Liberty-Salem 5, Coldwater 1: Mady Stratton put WLS on the board with a run-scoring single, and Julia Ames, Rachel Hostetler and Hallie Strapp each drove in a run.

Triad 14, Madison Plains 0: Kayleigh Boldman brought in six runs off of three hits and Kristen Bailey also tallied three hits for Triad.

Fairbanks 4, Greeneview 3: Cheyanne Montgomery homered and Bryce Ratliff had a double in a losing effort for Greeneview.

Boys Tennis

Fenwick 5, Middletown 0: Dylan Sagan, Tim Erhart and Hunter Lippert each picked up a singles victory for Fenwick.

Oakwood 4, Chaminade Julienne 1: Sam Lahmon defeated Sam Kohls in first singles to help Oakwood sweep the singles matches.

Preble Shawnee 4, Trotwood 1: Pierce Elliott and Allison Zornes didn’t allow a point in their singles victories for Preble Shawnee.

Valley View 4, Lehman Catholic 1: Justin Devilbiss defeated Griffin West in first singles, and Ben Holbrook added a singles win for Valley View. Sam Ritze had the lone victory for Lehman Catholic.

Monroe 3, Northridge 2: Paolo Dongo won in second singles and Monroe swept the doubles matches. Josh Brown and Harley Geisel each notched singles wins for Northridge.

Tecumseh 5, Greenon 0: Tecumseh improved to 11-0 overall, with singles wins from Mitchell Foland, Drew Sarihan and Jacob Lewis.

Northeastern 5, Bellefontaine 0: Northeastern improved to 6-0 with the victory.
