These rare old photos of UD Arena make for some of the best Dayton Flyers nostalgia

As UD Arena prepares for its regular-season debut of the first phase of upgrades, we went into the archives looking for old images of the arena through the years.

They’re fantastic.

In one, then-UD President Father Raymond A. Roesch blesses the shovel used for the groundbreaking on Nov. 6, 1968:
