The play of Ohio State’s offensive line has been a bit of a lightning rod among the fan base this season.

The head coach provided an endorsement of the group Monday — but he wants to see more.

“I think we could play a little bit better,” Meyer said two days after the Buckeyes beat Michigan State 26-6. “That was a rugged day now…”

The Buckeyes netted 120 yards on 45 carries (counting 11 yards lost on two sacks) against the Spartans, pedestrian numbers in a vacuum but better considering MSU entered the game with the No. 1-ranked rush defense in the country.

Offensive tackles Isaiah Prince and Thayer Munford both received champion grades, as did guard Demetrius Knox.

Meyer said he did not expect any lineup changes at this point in the season but noted redshirt freshman Wyatt Davis would be the first person in if there were.

Meyer also raved about the play of running back Mike Weber, who was chosen as co-player of the game on offense with receiver Terry McLaurin.

Weber, a junior from Detroit, ran for 104 yards on 22 carries and scored the final touchdown of the day on a 2-yard run.
