Week 9: Sidney’s Bowser goes over 2,000; Oakwood upsets Franklin; Northmont still hot

Rashad McKee threw four touchdown passes and Wayne beat Springfield 28-13 on senior night.

The game was a key matchup for both - Wayne is 7-2 and fourth in their playoff region while Springfield is 6-3 and Springfield. The win for Wayne sets up a showdown with Trotwood next week.

Chaminade Julienne kept hold of a playoff spot after holding off Badin 24-22.

Centerville secured a playoff spot with a win over Fairmont - their 20th consecutive win over the Firebirds.

Austin Clark's punt and kickoff returns for touchdowns helped Valley View stay undefeated against Brookville.

Week 9: High School Football Scores

Sidney 55, Butler 34: Isaiah Bowser passed the 2,000 rushing yard milestone for the season after rushing for 154 yards with three touchdowns in the first half. Bowser finished with 245 yards on the ground and Sidney racked up 579 yards of offense in the game. Logan Flatt had four rushing scores for Butler.

Northmont 35, Springboro 10: Jabari Perkins hauled in two receiving scores and added a rushing TD, Cameron Rucker and Danny Lewis each grabbed a pair of interceptions and Devin Kenerly ran for 107 yards with a TD to lead Northmont. Cameron Rountree tallied 122 yards with a TD to lead 'Boro.

Beavercreek 21, Miamisburg 0: Cody Hocker ran in all three of Beavercreek's scores and the defense held Miamisburg to 126 yards of offense while pitching the shutout and snapping a three-game losing streak.

Trotwood 68, Xenia 21: Raveion Hargrove had 13 carries for 141 yards with four touchdowns and Dallas Daniels racked up 190 yards receiving on six catches with two scores to pace Trotwood. Meechi Harris caught three balls for 91 yards with a TD to lead Xenia.

Lebanon 41, Stebbins 0: Kyle Short connected with Jake Tewart on a pair of touchdowns and also hit Derrick Allen and Cole McGinness with TD passes to lead Lebanon. Short finished 9-of-11 with 189 yards through the air and Allen hauled in five catches for 126 yards.

Fairborn 35, West Carrollton 21: Wesley Watts passed for 228 yards with three touchdowns and K.J. Redmon added 140 yards rushing with two scores for Fairborn. Dakoldes Turner had 102 yards rushing with two scores in a losing effort for WC.

Troy 42, Greenville 0: With a sixth consecutive win Troy clinched a share of the GWOC North title. Sam Coleman led the way with a 14-of-16 night passing with 207 yards and two touchdowns, both to Matt McGillivary. John Wehrkamp added a pair of sacks to lead the Troy defense.

Piqua 40, Tippecanoe 28: Austin Davis tallied 230 yards on a 17-of-19 night with two TD passes and Ben Schmiesing rushed for 155 yards with two scores to pace Piqua. Cole Barhorst had 106 yards rushing with three touchdowns for Tipp.

Middletown 28, Oak Hills 21: Blake Marshall scored all four of Middletown's touchdowns, racking up 166 yards on 18 carries to help Middletown snap an 18-game losing streak. Diondre Cooper added 98 yards rushing and Shadon Williams had a fumble recovery and an interception.

Sycamore 40, Lakota East 13: Sean Church ran a punt back 55 yards for a score and Chris Whitehead added a rushing TD for East.

Colerain 52, Lakota West 24: MyJaden Horton tossed touchdowns to Dylan Jones and Cameron Wehby and David Afari added 121 yards rushing in a losing effort for West.

Madison 62, Waynesville 14: Cam Svarda tallied four rushing touchdowns, a punt return for a score and a fumble recovery to pace Madison. Tyler Baumgartner added a pair of rushing touchdowns.

Oakwood 35, Franklin 22: Oakwood rumbled out to a 27-7 lead early and held on for the huge upset win. Brian Erbe tossed three touchdowns, including two to Jake Sargent, to lead the way. Braden Woods tallied two touchdowns for Franklin.

Dixie 38, Milton Union 35: Devin Worley punched the ball in with 15 seconds to play to seal the win for Dixie in a back-and-forth game. Worley and Dakota Grise each had two scores to lead Dixie.

Ross 33, Logan 21: The victory marked the first of the season for Ross, snapping a 15-game losing streak.

Northwest 29, Talawanda 6: Adam Crank hit Blake Ryan on a seven-yard strike for Talawanda's lone TD.

Northwestern 37, Graham 18: Eli Berner had scoring runs of 37 and 32 yards in the final quarter to help Northwestern seal the win. Berner finished with 206 yards rushing and three scores. Gage Braun threw two touchdowns and Austin Brayton added a rushing and receiving TD for Graham.

Urbana 34, Ben Logan 22: Preston Shields threw two touchdowns and ran in a fourth for and Kaleb Bowdle recovered a blocked punt for a score to pace Urbana. Trent Berry had two rushing touchdowns for Ben Logan.

Jonathan Alder 35, Spg. Shawnee 21: Robie Glass scampered for two touchdown runs and threw a 61-yard TD pass to Jackson Smith but Shawnee fell victim to an Alder rally.

Miami East 42, Tri-County North 0: Justin Brown racked up 125 yards rushing with three touchdowns on eight carries and Vincent Villela and Caleb Nickels each added a rushing score as East clinched a share of the CCC title.

Arcanum 26, Mississinawa Valley 22: Devin Keckler answered Mississinawa Valley's go-ahead score in the fourth quarter with a game-winning kickoff return TD for Arcanum.

Mechanicsburg 42, Northeastern 14: Logan Hurst passed for 290 yards, Dustin Knapp added 125 yards on the ground with two scores and Justin Hunt hauled in 97 yards receiving to pace 'Burg.

Greeneview 56, Catholic Central 0: Griffin Mangan and Tyler Robinette each had two rushing touchdowns to lead Greeneview.

Greenon 7, Cedarville 6: Cooper Chaffin scampered for 100 yards on the ground with the lone TD for Greenon.

Clinton-Massie 44, New Richmond 14: Massie benefitted from mistakes and turnovers to get back in the win column.

Coldwater 28, Anna 21: Ben Wenning ran three touchdowns, all in the final quarter as Coldwater won in rally fashion.

Fort Recovery 38, New Bremen 7: Will Homan rushed for 291 yards on 22 carries with three touchdowns for Fort Recovery.

St. Marys 50, Defiance 0: St. Marys clinched the WBL title outright with the victory.
