New coach, five players selected in the 2016 MLB draft and gone, the high of a NCAA postseason appearance gone and back to earth - don’t tell the  Wright State Raiders.

The Raiders scored three in the seventh inning and added another in the ninth to upset the No. 10 Clemson Tigers 6-4 to open the 2017 college baseball season.

The Raiders used five pitchers with starter Trevor Swaney pitching four innings, allowing seven hits and two runs.

Left fielder J.D. Orr was 3-for-5 with three RBIs. Zach Weatherford and Gabe Snyder each drove in a run, Weatherford’s coming off a home run in the ninth to give the Raiders some insurance.

The Raiders play Clemson on Saturday at 2 p.m. The game is available on the ACC Network.
